Myself Kiran Sheth, as a professional working as Psychologist and Mental Health Professional in the field of Psychology since more than 20 years, am a proud student of shri M D Shah Mahila College, Psychology Dept, Malad (West). I completed my graduation from here in the year 1995-96 through Gujarati medium.

The college offers an ideal study environment with holistic development of students through so many different extra curricular activities. For ex: N.S.S, different competitions at college, inter college level, Dept level etc....Not only professors but also Principal ma'am take keen interest in student's growth....be it academic, personal or professional. They are very much supportive, engaging and encouraging. After completing course through "Maitree alumni association" they like to be in touch with students, which is so kind, warm and loving approach.

It had been an extremely valuable experience for me to be student of this esteemed institute. I learnt a lot and it gave me a very strong foundation, grounding knowledge in my basic of professional growth. Through N.S.S I got encouraged by faculty of other stream( commerce) professors. Through N.S.S my confidence build up immensely. Through different opportunities like being class representative (C.R), my leadership qualities sharpened. Other qualities like decision making etc...enhanced. I became more constructive. My personality developed at it's best.

I am very much excited to let you all know that I had an amazing time studying at college, given me tremendous opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Academic program provided me a ladder to climb on and build my career by being first in my SYBA & TYBA exams  academically and getting lots of certificates for different extra curricular activities like best N.S.S volunteer, singing competition, slogan writing competition etc....would just say :- "AMAZING COLLEGE THAT HELPS YOU STAND STRONGER FOR WHAT'S COMING IN THE FUTURE. WHAT THEY TEACH YOU HEAR, IS NOT JUST KNOWLEDGE BUT IT'S INCREDIBLE LIFE EXPERIENCES. "

It is an honor to write for Psychology department of Shri M.D. Shah Mahila College. First and foremost I am grateful to both principal ma’am and Geeta ma’am for believing in me and giving the opportunity to fulfill my dream of learning psychology. 

 Department of psychology here is one of the best in Mumbai with required inventories and store of books and materials for referrals. Faculty is highly knowledgeable and compassionate as well. They are student friendly, not once in three years I felt the pressure or stress of studies as department was well organized and Geeta ma’am made sure that we learnt without any pressure for grades. Also, she was pivotal in nudging the students towards their full potential by encouraging us to participate in various competitions and activities. Department organized various activities to provide exposure to current developments in the field of psychology. Real life case discussions with Amitabh sir made the learning more interactive and were insightful. I recommend M.D. Shah College to all the students who aspire to achieve greater heights in career with feet firmly grounded in knowledge and human values. Heart felt gratitude to teaching and non-teaching staff for working endlessly in helping women fulfill their dreams of education and independence.
